Chekov, Scotty and Capt. Kirk are guests on the maiden voyage of the brand new Enterprise -B. Since the voyage is just for show - it carries no medical staff
and has no tractor beam installed - that will later prove to be fatal.

The incomplete Enterprise is forced to rescue two transport ships held captive in a mysterious energy ribbon. One of the ships explodes, and Scotty manages to rescue
a handful of the crew from the second ship before it explodes.

The Enterprise is soon drawn into the ribbon and Kirk goes down below - in an
attempt to save the ship. A flash from the ribbon tears parts of the Enterprise apart
before it can get free from the ribbon - Captain Kirk is killed in the incident...

78 years later:

A renegade scientist named Soran is destroying stars to achieve his goal - to get back
to a place called The Nexus, a place where time has no meaning and all wishes come true.

While Picard and crew is trying to stop Soran, Lursa and B´etor are doing what they can
to help Soran. The one man that can help Picard has been dead for 78 years... Or has he?
